The small, simple and authentic Italian kitchen, has opened in Fall 2015 in a cozy brick building off-the-beaten path in Liberty Village.
Started by the D’urzo Familia, who still resides in southern Italy, Bugigattolo translates to “hole in the wall.” Nestled between creative studios and cool start-ups in Liberty Village, the cozy 18-seater feels like a modern hangout in Italy thanks to the stand-up marble coffee and kitchen bars and unfussy industrial-chic design. The eclectic clientele is lured in by the warmth and magic of the space, the aromas of the kitchen and also the discreet back patio, with over 25 seats, which will be covered and heated for the cold months.
The Executive Chef, former Bar Buca Turno, Quin Josey, pays much attention to detail and aims to impact the food landscape in Liberty Village, from pub grub to more experimental fare. Bugigattolo Kitchen serves full day breakfast, lunch paninis, salads, pasta and other gourmet Southern Italian grab and go specials.
